Strings Of Me: Fingers at work

Today I need to finish the slouchy hat I was working on the other night. I only have the last 3 rounds to go and I'll be finished. I am really liking the texture of this hat. After I am finished with this hat I will be onto my next project. The closer Christmas is coming the more pressure is on for me to finish my presents. I'm sure that's how everyone feels. Not only do I feel the pressure to complete my presents but I need to finish the items I want to put in my Etsy Shop.

Ok well its back to work for these fingers.

My crochet background

I started crocheting in High School because I wanted to make blankets for the homeless. I quickly realized my intentions were not going to become reality because my little fingers were not going to be able to produce the number of blankets my heart had set out to succeed. I stopped crocheting for one reason or another and didn't start back up until 3 or 4 years ago. I quickly realized it is my passion. I started making scarves like any beginner. I quickly became bored with just doing the basic scarf and realized I wanted to be challenged. I am completely self-taught. I push myself to learn new patterns all the time. I love to pick up my hook and yarn and dive in and discover a pattern that's floating around in my head. I hope some of my passion and drive will rub off on others, and that they too will see if they put their mind too it they can do whatever their heart desires!
